Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Phillipians 2:9-11 NIV
God Exalted His Word above His Name. The Highest place is Given to and reserved for Him; so much so that at the Name of Jesus, every knee shall bow in Heaven and on earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord! His Name is the Highest and He Sits Enthroned on High forever and ever. Halleluyah! Amen!!!

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR MONDAY 5 MAY 2014 - THEME: FISHERS OF MEN BY PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE
MEMORY VERSE: Matthew 4:19
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
READ: JOHN 1:40-42
40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: GENESIS 4-7; PSALM 98
MESSAGE
Soul-winning is a must. Few are called to be preachers or evangelists, but every child of God is called to be a fisher of men. Every committed Christian has the opportunity to witness and lead sinners to Christ. Fishing for a soul is a definite effort to lead a particular person to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

IRON SHARPENS IRON
Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."
When iron blades are rubbed together, each becomes sharper and thus more effective. Likewise, when believers are involved in one another's lives, mutual edification occurs.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 is a similar passage: "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

Walking in the Way
Quoted Verse: But i am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3.
Message:
If you want to be an effective communicator of the Gospel, take a close look at the prophet Jeremiah.
Three factors about his life made him a dynamic spokesman for the Lord.
* First, Jeremiah HEARD THE VOICE OF GOD WITH HIS HEART & SOUL. In Jeremiah 4:19, he says, "Oh, my anguish, my anguish! I writhe in pain. Oh, the agony of my heart! My heart pounds within me, i cannot keep silent. For i have heard the sound of the trumpet; i have heard the battle cry. " Brother, sister or minister of the Gospel, when we read the Bible, we need to ask God to speak to our hearts and souls. It is not our ears that need changing, but our hearts.
