John 11:1-27 NIV
John 11 New International Version (NIV)
The Death of Lazarus
11 Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. 2 (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.)3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.”4 When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” 5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6 So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days, 7 and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”8 “But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?”9 Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by this world’s light. 10 It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light.”11 After he had said this, he went on to tell them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.”12 His disciples replied, “Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better.” 13 Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep.14 So then he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead, 15 and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”16 Then Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]) said to the rest of the disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.”

Practical Christian Living: A Christian NEVER dies
PASTOR DR. E. O. ABINA - YOU WILL NOT SUFFER LACK
“The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing” (Ps.34:10 NKJV).
This message comes to you once and again. That shows that God is interested in your well-being as one of His dear children. The text of this message implies that, though the young lion whose father is the king of animals in the bush may suffer hunger but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.
I believe you are one of them and if you are not yet, I think the time has come that you should become one of us.

A Clarion Call To Repentance
Tue. 19/4/2016
READ: Matt. 3: 7-12
John the Baptist was divinely chosen to herald the birth and coming of the Messiah. At the time of his call, the whole nation was in decadence; the spiritual leaders were not faithful and diligent in their call to service.
MESSAGE:
John the Baptist was divinely chosen to herald the birth and coming of the Messiah. At the time of his call, the whole nation was in decadence; the spiritual leaders were not faithful and diligent in their call to service.
John the Baptist was very bold and fearless in condemning the people’s wrong doings and he also called on them to repent and live right before it became too late.

THE SILENCE OF GOD! BY PASTOR (DR.)E. O. ABINA
From Pastor (Dr) E. O. Abina,
The General Overseer of GOFAMINT
The General Overseer of GOFAMINT
THE SILENCE OF GOD!
“How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me? Consider and hear me, O LORD my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of death; Lest my enemy say, "I have prevailed against him"; Lest those who trouble me rejoice when I am moved. But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, Because He has dealt bountifully with me” (Ps. 13).
The Christian’s life is full of challenges, just as it was with the people of God before we were born. The desert journey of the children of Israel was not an exception. Even the life of Abraham also was full of challenges. David, the man after God’s own heart had his own share of this subject matter – the silence of God. Sometimes at Christian journey, we feel the presence and the blessings of God flowing and coming; in our favour. Other times we pray, pray and pray, and it appears nothing good is in sight because there is no quick answer to our prayers. Then we are tempted to think that God is silent and has forgotten us entirely. Sometimes, we are also tempted to give up praying, thinking that God has shifted His care and mercy for us to another place and that may lead us to be helpless, ungrateful, lukewarm and resentful, if care is not taken. When David felt that God seemed not to heed his cry to defend him from his enemies, he cried, How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? But he did not end up in despair. He ended up by saying; I have trusted in Your mercy, My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD. Because He has dealt bountifully with me.

UP FROM THE GRAVE HE AROSE BY PASTOR (DR) E. O.ABINA
Pastor (Dr) E. O. Abina |
1. “Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.
2 But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
3 Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.
5 Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee” (Lk.24:1-6 NKJV).
