To be sexy or dressing to look sexy is a worldly philosophy and view. It is one of the ways the world thinks and value things. It means to look sexually attractive to the point where those who look at you mature in the desire, or acquire the desire to have you in bed.
Therefore, a woman who dresses to look sexy is saying in her heart that; I am dressing so that whoever looks at me will want or desire to have me in bed. In the same way a man who decides to dress sexy is saying: I want people who look at me to desire to have me in bed or sleep with me.
Queen Jezebel is the one who used to dress sexy with the intention of seducing or charming the LORD’S anointed:
[30] When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jez′ebel heard of it; and she painted her eyes, and adorned her head, and looked out of the window. [31] And as Jehu entered the gate, she said, “Is it peace, you Zimri, murderer of your master (2 Kings 9:30-31)?”
Jezebel was the one who used the facial make-ups, the adorning of her hair and the rest to make her look seducing -attractive.
Dressing sexy is a worldly practice. It is not of God. It is a way that the demons and their grand-master, Satan, are using to pollute the world with sexual sins like fornication and adultery. Sometimes, fornication and adultery may lead to murder – killing of newly formed babies, nick-named “abortion.”
[15] Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. [17] And the world passes away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever (1 John 2:15-17).
The world is what does not bring glory and honor to our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore, the world represents Satan and his demons and their human agents; and anyone who worships them knowingly or unknowingly including their possessions and properties.
The world passes away means anything that does not bring glory to our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, is coming to a perpetual or everlasting ruin.
The Bible declares that as women your beauty should not be that of the world – dressing to look sexy or seducing-attractive; but rather an inner being adornment:
[3] Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. [4] Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight (1 Peter 3:3-4).
Maybe, as a child of God you might have not yet seen the implication of your involvement in trying to look sexy or temptingly attractive. I came to show you its implication; and also, let you understand that it could cost you your eternal life.
Our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ taught that when a man looks at a woman and desires to have the woman; he has already committed the sin of fornication or adultery with her:
[27] “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ [28] But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart (Matthew 5:27-28).
Our LORD and Savior continues HIS warning to HIS followers by saying that since these sins could cause them their eternal life; it would be better for them to lose their bodily parts, like the eye of the man and the hand of the woman, and be prevented from committing such sins. The eye of the man, because the man uses his eye to look at a sexy woman; and the woman uses her hands to help her dress sexy:
[29] If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. [30] And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell (Matthew 5:29-30).
The woman who is trying to be sexy or overly attractive and seduce God’s children; this is what the LORD is saying to you:
[6] “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. [7] Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come! [8] If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire (Matthew 18:6-8).
