Your Divine Defence

“And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan” (2 Kings 6: 13). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, the King of Syria sent spies to go and spy on Elisha, in a bid to fetch him. Those spies eventually found Elisha's location. That means, Elisha was visible, available, and had no visible security.

Notice that although they knew Elisha's location, they could not harm him or dislocate his destiny. They saw that he was available, but he wasn't vulnerable. Elisha may not have had any visible defence, yet he wasn't defenceless. He was visible, yet he was untouchable.
Friend, hear God’s word to you: you may be visible but you are untouchable; you may be available but you are not vulnerable; you may seem like one without defence, but you are not defenceless; men may be aware of your location, but they cannot dislocate your destiny.

You are shielded and preserved by God, and hidden in Christ, and God says, you are beyond the reach of the enemy. You can't be reduced or destroyed; you can't be put to shame and disgrace.

Every disgrace that the enemy has in store for you shall come to nothing; every plot of the enemy against you shall be annulled; anyone who conspires against you shall be disappointed; when they think they can harm you, don’t fret, they can’t do anything; when they see you and bring out their arrows, don’t be afraid, their arrows won’t hit you.You have divine security; you may not have bullet-proof vehicles, but no bullet can hit you. You may seem ordinary in the eyes of men, but God says you are extraordinary.

Psalm 91 vs. 1 says it all: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Pray With Me: Lord, I may be visible but I am untouchable, available but not vulnerable, without defence but not defenceless!
